FAQs

WHAT ARE THE BEST TIMINGS?

Although every wedding is different we prefer not to do certain things such as playing during the buffet and it's important for the evening to flow perfectly. Typical timings that we really like are as follows:

6pm - Band arrive and setup

7pm - Evening guests arrive

8pm - First dance/cake cutting

8pm - First band set

9pm - Buffet

10pm - Second band set

11pm - DJ til midnight

How Long Does Set Up Take You?

Up to an hour at a normal venue assuming there’s straight forward access.

 

Do You Take Requests?

We are always happy to take requests in advanced and we ask to be given at least a months notice for  preparation and practice.  This will be subject to band suitably so please note that requests will only be taken in consideration only.  DJ requests however are unlimited so fill your boots.  We also recommend sending those in advanced to be sure that we have them in our locker.  Also note that we won't always have interest access so tracks will need to be downloaded in advance.

 

Do You Carry Lighting & PA Equipment?

Yes, we bring a top quality sound system to each gig which is loud enough to fill most wedding and party venues for numbers of up to 300 and we also provide standard stage and disco lighting. 

 

What Kind Of Power Do You Need?

We need 4 13amp (standard) plug sockets and we draw approx 4kW of power.

 

Are Noise Limiters An Issue?

They’re not ideal but more and more venues are having them installed so we’ve learned to cope with them. Just please make sure you let us know in advance!

 

How Do I Pay?

We have a very simple payment method.  We need to take a deposit at time of booking to secure the date then the remaining balance can be paid up to a week before your event.  We also offer the chance to pay in installments to help spread the cost if you're booking far in advance of your event.

 

Are You Insured?

Yes we are and most hotel venues require it so we have £5,000,000 public liability insurance.

 

Will Your Equipment Have PAT Certificates?

Yes and we’re happy to email them to the venue in before the event with our insurance!
